PRESS RELEASE

Friends of Children with Special Needs to be recipients of "SSV Kidzone" seats for the MLS San Jose Earthquakes match on July 31st at Buck Shaw Stadium against Freddie Ljunberg and the Seattle Sounders in the final Heritage Cup match of 2010

Soccer Silicon Valley Community Foundation is pleased to welcome 50 children and families from Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN) as their guests in the SSV Kidzone for the MLS San Jose Earthquakes game on July 31st at Buck Shaw Stadium versus the Seattle Sounders.

"Soccer Silicon Valley, through our community foundation in partnership with the San Jose Earthquakes, has set up a program to bring 50 deserving kids to every Earthquakes home game," says SSV Kidzone Chair Lloyd Danon. "Because of the deserving children that Friends of Children with Special Needs serves, we selected them to receive tickets for free admission to this game."

"We are really excited to be working with the team's fans through SSV Community Foundation on the Kidzone," says Earthquakes Executive Vice President David Alioto. "We are pleased with the choice of Friends of Children with Special Needs as a deserving program for this partnership."

About FCSN:
Friends of Children with Special Needs is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support, friendship, and life skills training to developmentally disabled individuals and their families. FCSN started out in 1996 with 10 families, and has now membership of 600 mostly Asian American families, serving over 400 individuals with autism, Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disabilities. In response to the needs of the growing special needs population, FCSN opened its Dream Center in Fremont in September 2006 and a Satellite Center in West San Jose/Cupertino in April 2008. Asian Americans with disabled children have been perceived as an obscure group, hidden away from society. Our programs are especially designed to empower families, increase resources, foster independence and meet the cultural and linguistic needs of our participants. Available languages are English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Malay, Spanish and American Sign Language. For more information about FCSN and our program, please visit our website at www.fcsn1996.org
