FUNDRAISING EVENTS

Soccer Silicon Valley Community Foundation has sponsored or co-sponsored a number of events with the purpose of raising much-needed funding for worthy organizations, such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Contributing to our mission of building community through soccer, SSVCF brings together Earthquakes players, staff, fans and members of the community to participate in these efforts.

Autism Walk
On May 30, 2009, SSVCF partnered with the San Jose Earthquakes and California Custom to sponsor the "Miles for Missy" Walk Team in the "Walk Now for Autism" fundraiser. Missy is the autistic older sister of former Quakes defender Ryan Cochrane. read more

Kick Autism World Cup Viewing Party
The Kick Autism World Cup Viewing Party on June 20, 2010 benefited IPSTP (Independent Peer Socialization Training Program) and brought together Quakes players, staff and supporters for an unforgettable brunch at the San Jose home of Georgie Huff. read more

Light the Night Walk
In 2008 and 2009, SSVCF partnered with the San Jose Earthquakes, Club Quake and California Custom to co-sponsor Earthquakes fans participating in the Light the Night Walk in Palo Alto, CA to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). read more

Friends of Joe Vide
Soccer Silicon Valley Community Foundation, in tandem with the San Jose Earthquakes and its 1906 Ultras supporters group, raised $1600 for former San Jose Earthquakes player Joe Vide's medical expenses battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma. read more
